  1. Hi!

Are you planning to go a bit deeper into tactics?

I would love to read the following from you (just to mention a few):
    1) Considerations to have in mind while choosing a tactic and how to complement it with instructions. Ex.: Fast strickers, choose like 442/352 with TB even if I know this will be blocked? Or should I aim for unpredictability?
    2) Always same tactic, having the team adjusted to it or will I get definetely more benefits by changing/surprising?
    3) Playmaker: When to choose one. Who is truly choosable. When you have only 1 intelligent player that will certainly be blocked, use it anyway? When no intelligent players, which to choose, if any?

These may be some basic questions, but the information aroung these questions (and many other) is very blurry and, in some cases, divergent.

    Thank you!

  2. I'm doing a post on PM selection this friday and I'll look at more on tactics.

    Simple answers

    1) Getting tactics blocked probably causes much more of a negative than the benefit of player SQs. Unpredictability is the best way.
    2) The only thing that benefits with use is FK selection. Everything else is on a game by game basis so just try and catch the opponent out as much as you can.
    3) In a nutshell having your PM marked is a real killer. The only real advantage of a an obvious PM is that it lets you pick your 2nd best mid 90% of the time without being marked.

You are right - there are too many people who will give you conflicting opinions. The better players often don't say a lot in these regards but it can be useful doing scout reports on their matches - especially big games.

  3. Hi, great blog!
I would love to know what you think about SQ's - how much skill is each worth?

I.E. the FAQ's advise that a player with heart and leadership SQ is worth 5 skill bars when comparing with a squad.

Therefore who would be more likely to score - a 10 skilled FW with no SQ or an 8 skilled FW with heading SQ?

    Many thanks
